Big Bird was a Gangsta...

Recently I finished Malcolm Gladwell's latest book What the Dog Saw. Just like Outliers, Blink, and Tipping Point, this book is definitely not for everyone. You'll like it if you get intrigued by random questions about society or why and how people think like they do. I definitely don't agree with everything he says, but all his books have extremely interesting parts like why Big Bird was so genius for how kids learn (Tipping Point) or why tall men make more money (Blink). Unfortunately, they have really slow parts that tend to drag on. So if you only have time to read one of his books, you should pick up What the Dog Saw. You don't even have to read the whole thing since it's a collection of different stories...just go to your Barnes & Noble, grab a cup of coffee, pick out a chapter, and get ready to change how you think.

Another interesting book is Super Freakonomics which, like the one before it, relates seemingly random things into something that actually makes sense. Take for example the chapter titled, "How is a street prostitute like a department store Santa?" You have to want to read that.
